This is organised through the Maribor association of vegetable growers Združenja pridelovalcev vrtnin Maribor. There are one hundred and twelve members In the association. They produce vegetables, fruit and field produce and sell them at home or at the Maribor market.
The growing of agricultural produce in the immediate surroundings of the city of Maribor is of great importance, as it offers small farms work and income.
