The peat moor with its small lakes is one of the most attractive natural sights on Pohorje!
The lake Ribniško jezero and peat moor, surrounded by pine forests, lie on the slopes east of Ribniški vrh. Beside the 84 metre long lake Ribniško jezero there are also six smaller lakes or marshy windows. They are all about one metre deep and the bottoms of all the lakes are peaty. Because the moor is on a slope with quite an incline we call also call it the Hanging moor.
