  • Park in the square Slomškov trg

The park in Slomškov trg dates from the year 1891. The park has a dendrological curiosity – a Ginkgo and an interesting Elm tree, which represents an important element of the old town core. It is bordered by the streets Orožnova ulica and Miklošičeva ulica.

  • Park in the square Maistrov trg

The park was planted in the year 1883. It is worth looking at the giant Plane tree and one remaining Japanese Sophora. In the park there is also the Milan Černigoj fountain and Rudolf Maister monument  .You can find the park in the heart of the city by the streets Gregorčičeva ulica and Krekova ulica.

  • Park in the square Kidričev trg

The park dates from 1888 and has the dendrological curiosity of a trilistnima pletejema. It stands in the vicinity of the railway station between the streets Razlagova ulica and Kopitarjeva ulica, alongside the park runs one of the main roads Partizanska cesta.

  • Magdalenska Park

Magdalenska Park was established in the year 1906. It is a transitional park with a children’s playground and a good deal of quality trees.  The park is located on the right bank of the river Drava by the road Ljubljanska cesta.

  •  Park by the Betnava Mansion

The mansion garden is a component part of the mansion complex at Betnava, which dates from the 16th century.  The park is composed of areas next to the mansion and an extensive park complex on a former island, which was formed by a ditch that was supplied with water from the stream Pekrski potok. The park on the island in the past was made up of two parts: a geometrically designed terrace facing the main portal, to the west of that was planned English park. The park in the recent past times was left to overgrow. It has now been renovated.

  •  Stražun forest

The forest, which extends into the regions of Pobrežje and Brezje, is the last larger remains of the Maribor forests. Today's park forest is intended as a place for everyday repose and recreation for the city inhabitants. This is a mixed forest, in which prevail Beech trees, Red pine, Oak and Hornbeam, and it is also interwoven with meadows.
