From Trije kralji to Areh
The Polskava mountain trail is made up of more trails, which interweave over Slovenska Bistrica’s Pohorje and lead to Trije kralji and Areh. In the valley of the Polskava stream you will be accompanied by steep slopes, overgrown with forests and abundant undergrowth, and along the way you will discover the remains of mills and sawmills. Here numerous old linden and yew trees grow that are protected by law, and you can even admire the traces of a Roman quarry.
A homely Slovene village
Also well worthwhile visiting and admiring is one of the most beautiful villages in Slovenia, Kočno pri Polskavi, which the local inhabitants adorn with flowers and a collection of old farming tools and equipment. As part of an annual local holiday a hike is organised to Trije kralji every year in the month of March for mountain climbers and nature lovers, then in the autumn there follows a traditional hike to Areh.
