Rafting along the river Drava

If we sail with a boat along the river Seine in Paris and along the river Thames in London, why not sail in Maribor with a raft along the river Drava?

And with a timber raft that has a rich tradion!
This is still reflected in the annual tourist-ethnographic event Rafter's christening. Once the river Drava was the main transport link. In old times the Drava was the main transport link, and rafters docked here when they transported timber from the forests of Pohorje and Kozjak all the way down to Osijek and Belgrade. You will learn more about rafting on the Drava in the past from the rafters themselves.

A ride with a timber raft along the Drava offers visitors a completely new view of the city!
A rafting adventure includes:

For an entertaining and relaxed atmosphere rafters and a rafter's girl will look after you during the trip and to keep spirits high there will be national music played by the Rafter's Trio. You will also see a real rafter’s christening of one of the passengers, perhaps it will be you!

After the raft docks a walk along the river Drava embankment of Maribor's famous Lent, to the Old Vine and the Old Vine House, and from there on to the defence towers or actively get more closely acquainted with the river Drava.
