Beautiful countryside, exceptional views and well kept vineyards and orchards are key reasons as to why the vista fruit-wine growing learning trail came into existence. It was set up by the School of Agriculture Maribor, in the region of Kalvarija – stroll along the trail and get to know the fruit and wine growing activities of the school!
You can join the trail from different directions – from the agricultural school, from the Institute of Agriculture or from Rače mansion. At these points there are notice boards with a description of the trail, a short description of the place where you are, and a legend. At individual points on the trail there are more detailed presentations of the fruits and vine selections. At the highest viewing point a panoramic picture gives walkers a clear presentation of Maribor's near and far surroundings. Enjoy yourself along the trail and respect nature and the work done in it.
