Wine cellars Plač – Svečina and Pesnica are home to quality and excellent wines with a protected appellation of origin, Galantes wines grown from the grapes of the famous sunny sides of the wine growing hills in the district of Štajerska and sub district of Maribor.
 
The wine cellar Plač – Svečina is a several hundred years old classic underground cellar with wooden barrels and is among the oldest cellars in this region. It is situated among the winegrowing hills in the immediate vicinity of the state boarder with Austria, near Svečina in Podigrac, and along the historically known Roman road connecting Flavia Solva with Poetovio, Celeia, and Emona. This is a magnificent starting point for recreation and exploration of the winegrowing traditions of Štajerska. The surrounding hills and the beautiful diverse landscape are appropriate for trips, hikes, biking, and horseback riding in Svečina. You can enjoy the views from Plački vrh, the winegrowing museum in Svečina, and just across the border with Austria you will find the town of Leibnitz, the 'heir' of the famous Roman Flavia Solva.

Upon previous arrangement, we can offer you wine-tasting and a guided tour of the cellar, where we take you through the tradition of wine making. Our cellar offers a wide variety of white and red wines Galantes with exceptional aroma. A fine dining compliment to our wines is the tender, juicy, and tasty ecological Pohorje Beef.
