Restaurant Gostilna Maribor offers unique culinary delights introducing local Styrian cuisine to our international and domestic guests, revealing the treasured stories from our grandmothers’ kitchen.
There are delicious smells emanating from the kitchen of Chef Gregor Jager – of freshly baked bread, minced lard, beef soup, “backed hen”, “Essigfleisch”, bread buns “žemljice” and goulash, apple strudel and apricot dumplings and other delicacies that bring back the tastes of the past and at the same time fuse with modern culinary trends.
Among the vast selection of drinks we offer beer, whiskeys and a wide range of homemade spirits. The latter are served in the vaulted cellar named Apoteka (Pharmacy), a spectacular venue intended for private occasions. The best in the city, our wine card offers a wide selection of domestic and international wines.
We cherish the memories of our old house and the people who have lived and worked here. This is why the central dining room is named after the former owners, the beer brewers Tscheligi – the dining room Tscheligi, while the dining room Gambrinus is dedicated to the legendary patron of beer brewers. In fine weather our guests can enjoy a large terrace with splendid view of the Main Square (Glavni trg) just in front of the house.
