The book Večnosti zapisana trta (A Vine for Eternity) is the result of the dedicated work of three people: photographer Ciril Ambrož, author Stane Kocutar and designer Jurij Oven.
The idea for the book took some two years to come to fruition, starting from when Ambrož took his first picture of Slovenia's oldest vine. Since then, he has taken over 2000 photographs, making the process of creating the book all the more challenging.
The picture that Ambrož is most proud of is a portrait of the erstwhile town vinedresser, the late Tone Zafošnik.
In future, the book will serve as a gift from the Municipality of Maribor to foreign dignitaries, but it is also available for purchase:
